You all probably know by now that Catrice has bigger 2m assortment in Müllers. Part of their new products launch are also Velvet Matt eyeshadows, a collection of 6 highly pigmented matte eyeshadows. I liked the most two shades to which I decided to give a go, Al Burgundy and Vanillary Fair

The packaging is as we can expect from Catrice very simple, plastic and transparent. They decided to put matte eyeshadows in round pans and I welcome that. I don't know why, but I like round eyeshadows better than square ones. What impressed me by these eyeshadows is the formula. These are the softest matte eyeshadows I tried. It's needed only one swipe with finger to see how amazing color payoff these have. I only have one complain - they brake so easily. At least Al Burgundy brake quickly, I think mine brake after second usage. And mine is not the only one, I saw by few fellow bloggers that they had a similar experience. So Al Burgundy shade (not sure if any other as well) is definitely not a product you would carry with you in your makeup travel bag.
Al Burgundy is such a chameleon shade. In the pan it looks a lovely burgundy shade, swatched on a hand it has a bit purple sheen to it and applied on lids it looks more brownish. But it's definitely one amazing shade, silky, pigmented, easy to apply and blend. But it does fall out.
Vanilatty Fair is a lovely yellowish white shade, also highly pigmented and easy to apply and blend. I love to use it as highlighter, but it also looks amazing on lids due to its high pigmentation.

I decided to do one simple look with those two eyeshadows to show you how they act on eyes. As you can see, Al Burgundy looks quite brownish when blended out. I also have nothing but good things to say about the duration time. They lasted on my lids my whole working day (nine hours if I count my way to work and back home alongside) without fading away or creasing.

I can only recommend you to try eyeshadows from Velvet Matt collection. I haven't try other shades, but these two impressed me a lot. I'd specially recommend Al Burgundy (I quickly forgave it for breaking so easily), it's amazing shade for fall and it looks gorgeous over Maybelline Color Tattoo Pomegranate Punk (click). Vanillaty Fair is for you if you search a good matte eyeshadow for highlighting. Price is 4,29 € for 3,5 g.

Have you tried Catrice Velvet Matt eyeshadows? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!
