Make Drama Happen with Maybelline

Some time ago I was contacted by Maybelline to create a look for their contest on Facebook. Of course, I said yes because I already collaborated with them last year and it was so much fun. They sent me few products and asked me to create a look that would describe me with them. The palette was neutral, but I think I managed to create something more creative, something that wears my name.

I started with Maybelline Super Stay 24h foundation in shade 28 Soft Beige. It's not the lightest shade, but I already got some tan so it matches my current skin tone quite well. This foundation has light to medium coverage with a dewy finish and it works well on my skin.

Next step were eyes. I was using Maybelline The Nudes palette which contains 12 matte and shimmery shades, perfect for everyday use. But, of course, I wouldn't be I if I wouldn't do a bit more creative look. I started with taupe (shade 6) in the crease. On the first half of the lid, I used golden brown (shade 4) and on second half darker brown (shade 10) eyeshadow. In the crease, I used black eyeshadow (shade 12). On lower lash line I used the same two shades as on upper lid (4 and 10). Following the line on the upper lid, I prolonged the line on lower lid as well and then filled the gap with shimmery champagne shade (shade 1). I highlighted the area under my eyebrow and in the inner corner of my eye with the same champagne shade (shade 1).

No makeup look is complete without black eyeliner. I was using Maybelline Master Precise Curvy eyeliner. It has a bit funny tip, which disables thin line, but thick eyeliner is something that you often see on me. I had to play a bit with eyeliner as well, so I added three extra dots at the end of the tip.

To finish up the eye look I used Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara, which does not get along very well with my lashes because it's too heavy for them and that's why it looks on photos like I don't have any lashes.

I finished the look with Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lipstick in shade Rebel Red. It's really a gorgeous red, but it's far from being matte - it looks glossy on lips.

And this is the finished look. If you would like to win the package of Maybelline goodies, check out their Facebook page for more information and recreate my look. And definitely don't forget to check out my blog in next few days, because I'm preparing a special post with swatches of all Maybelline products I used for this look and my first impression about them.

How do you like my look? Thank you for reading!
