Stamping NOTD's

I remember when I started with stamping. I was so bad in it. But with time I discovered that's not all about skills, you also need to have a good engraved plate and a good stamper. I really enjoy using Born Pretty Store stamping plates, because designs transfer very easily and they also have very interesting plates. Lately I'm a bit obsessed with plateQgirl-013, I use it all the time. I made many nail art manicures with them, and today I want to show you four of them.

And here's a plate. That way you can better imagine, which design I used for each manicure. I tried to take a photo of a plate, but designs were barely visible because of my reflection, so I borrowed this photo from Born Pretty Store site.

Source.

First is my graduation manicure. I went with green because I wore green shirt. I used Barry M Ridley Road, Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet and Barry M Greenberry for stamping.

For this manicure I used Kardashian Beauty Buff, Models Own Amethyst, P2 Precious and H&M Plum for stamping. I stamped a flower design on two accent nails, which I really love.

Next one is my favourite. I used Catrice Plum Fiction, Essie Mind Your Mittens,Essence Icy Fairy, S-he 115 and Catrice First Class Up-Grape. In middle finger I stamped a design from Essence plate and on ring finger a dandelion from BPS plate.

The last one is more fall coloured design. I used the same design as for first manicure, since it has leaves and I wanted to do something like "fallen leaves" theme. I used S-he 115 as a base and P2 Hold Me Tight, Essence Orange Sunset and Essence Yeah, Copacabana for stamping. I wanted to use more colors, because fall leaves are colorful as well.

If you're going to shop in Born Pretty Store, you can use 10 % discount code. :)

What do you think about my manicures? Which one is your favourite? Thank you for reading!

New In (October)

October was one exciting month. I went on the Cosnova event, where I got a lot of beauties which are stars of this post. I took photos of products before I separated those for giveaway, so I'll show them to you all together, but I'll write near each one, if it's part of a giveaway or I kept it. I can't promise I'll review every single product that I kept, but I already started to test some and while some amazed me, others didn't really leave such a great impression.

Catrice It's Showtime - a glittery silver polish, opaque in two coats.
Catrice Plum Fiction - a purple glittery shade, opaque in two coats.
Ombre Top Coat (giveaway)
Catrice Colour Brightening base coat
Catrice My Satin Ballet Shoes (giveaway)
Catrice Million Styles Holo Que Tal? (giveaway)

Catrice Tinted Lip Glow Balm (giveaway)
Catrice Vitamin lip treatment - a nice scented, but a bit sticky gloss.
Catrice Volumizing Lip Booster (giveaway)
Catrice Mauve Your Lips - a mauve shade, but I haven't try it yet. I hope it'll look good on me.
Catrice Beautifying lip smoother Sweet Caramel and Apricot Cream - both are really nice, although not as pigmented as Cake Pop, which is still my favourite, but I like to use all three, because they moisten my lips great and are perfect products for every day use.

Catrice Colour Correcting mattifying powder Delicate Blossom
Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadow Al Burgundy and Vanillaty Fair (giveaway) - I already had those before, so you can check my review here.
Catrice Illuminating Blush Coral Me Maybe - this one doesn't have the best pigmentation, but it's buildable and it gives nice coraly look to the cheeks, which I like. It contains shimmer, which luckily isn't overwhelming on face. Lately I enjoy to use it on my face a lot.
Catrice Defining Blush Mandy-rine - a lovely peachy shade.
Catrice Fixing Brow Way
Catrice Longlasting Brow Definer Chocolate Brow'nie
Catrice Lash Extension volume mascara
Catrice lash applicator - I tried this one and it did quite a good job. Application of false lashes was easy with it, so I'll use it more often in the future.

Catrice 3in1 Skin Tone Adapting Make Up Lighter Skin - it's a white liquidy product that changes color when it comes in touch with the skin. It actually adapts to my skin tone, but I'm still not sure about this product. I noticed that it dries my skin a bit. I'll take one longer period to test this product well, before writing a review.
Catrice Velvet Finish foundation Light Velvet - I haven't test this one yet, because I was more curious about Nude Illusion foundation.
Catrice Nude Illusion Rose Vanilla - this one will be a part of my Facebook giveaway.
Catrice Velvet Finish concealer Velvet Ivory - it's a perfect shade for my skin tone. It's creamy, nice pigmented and it covers my under eye circles very good.
Catrice Velvet Finish Powder Natural Velvet - I'm going to test this one together with liquid foundation.
Catrice Absolute Matt eyeshadow palette - don't hate me, because I haven't try this one yet, but lately I don't wear any eyeshadow on daily basis, just a mascara (lazy beauty addict :P). But this palette will be definitely reviewed in few weeks.

First group were Catrice products, now let's see what I got from Essence.

Essence Gel Nails at Home 2in1 Primer&Cleanser (giveaway)
Essence Gel Nails at Home 2in1 Base and Top coat French and Clear peel off gel (both part of a giveaway)
Essence Nail Art Sparkle Sand top coat (giveaway)
Essence Color&Go Juicy Love - a classic red creme shade.
Essence Icy Fairy - omg, this is a gorgeousness in a bottle. It's a polish with silver glitter and blue and purple shimmer.
Essence I Love Magic (giveaway)

Essence Glossy Lip Balm Raspberry Sorbet (giveaway)
Essence Adorable Matt (giveaway) - this is a gorgeous red semi-matte shade.
Essence Femme Fatale (giveaway)
Essence Effect lipgloss Oh La La and Jewels in a Bottle (giveaway)

Essence Glow in the Night Click&Go Nails (giveaway)
Essence sharpener
Essence Nail Art Hello Foils Graffiti Look transfer foils (giveaway)
Essence Nail Art Hellow Foils transfer solution (giveaway)
Essence Neon and Glow in the Dark Stickers
Essence Silky Blush Autumn Peach (giveaway)
Essence Soo Blush! cream to powder blush Sweet as Peach
Essence Soo Glow! cream to powder highlighter Bright Up Your Life (giveaway)

Essence Liquid Ink Matt and High Gloss eyeliner - those have thin brush that enables easy application. Pigmentation of glossy one is great and it lasts all day without smudging.
Essence Lash Princess volume mascara - this is definitely one amazing mascara. It's not as wet as I Love Extreme Volume, it separates lashes nicely, lengthens them and gives them an amazing volume.
Essence Metal Glam eyeshadow Chico-Chic - Essence made a great job with Metal Glam eyeshadows, these have great pigmentation, so I can't wait to try this one.
Essence 3D eyeshadow Irresistible Fullmoon Flash - this on will be part of my Facebook giveaway.
Essence Effect eyeshadow UK's Stonehenge and Brazil Sunset - I heard a lot of good things about these eyeshadows, so I'm happy I got them.

Essence Come to Town nail polish set Naughty or Nice - a set with red, plumy and golden glittery nail polish. These all have nice formula. I already swatched them, so I hope I'll manage to post them next week.
Essence Luxury Lacquers Champaign Rain - a shimmery golden shade, opaque in two coats.
Catrice First Class Up-Grape - a lovely burgundy shimmery shade, opaque in two coats, although application isn't as easy because of its horrible brush.
Essence Insensifying Base Wild White Ways - anyone noticed I like white nail polishes? :D
Catrice Wood You Love Me? - I wanted to try something nude to combine it with bold and smoky looks.
Catrice Defining Blush Love and Peach and Think Pink - a peachy and pink shade.
Catrice All Matt Plus Skin Control Powder Transparent - let's just say I didn't had big luck with Essence mattifying powder (two of them have fallen into pieces after few usages), so I decided to try Catrice one.
Essence All About Sunrise eyeshadow palette - I really like the shades of these eyeshadows. It's true these are more summery, but I'll use them now in winter.
Catrice Velvet Finish concealer Velvet Ivory
Catrice Nude Illusion foundation Nude Ivory - this shade is quite a good match for me. It's medium opaque foundation that drys matte. It works well on my normal skin.

The same week as Cosnova event was happening I got another surprise package, this time from MeMeMe. I received Flawless Cream Foundation Beige Blush, which is unfortunately too dark for me, and Inspire Quad Eyeshadow Goddess

What I bought this month are actually mostly some random products I needed, like Ebelin cotton pads and Duchesse sticks, Aveo nail polish remover, Balea Strawberry hand lotion, Balea Washgel and Essence nail polish in shade Black is Back.

What did you got during October? You can still enter my Essence&Catrice giveaway. Thank you for reading!

NOTD: Halloween

This year I didn't plan to do any nails for Halloween, because last year I joined a challenge and covered a lot of themes, but then I received cute Halloween water stickers from Born Pretty Store and decided to wear them today. I started with two coats of Essence Black is Back on pinkie, ring and middle finger and two coats of Essence Orange Sunset on index finger and thumb. Over the black I also applied polishes S-he 115 and and P2 Hold Me Tight with saran wrap technique. Application of water decals was easy, I just put them in the water for few seconds and them placed them on my nails where I wanted to have them. I love how the manicure came out, although I wish now that I'd do all nails black.

Do you wear any special Halloween manicure? What do you think about these stickers? Thank you for reading!

Products That Disappointed Me #4

In my last post about products I didn't like I mentioned mostly skin care and hair products, but this time I'm going to talk about makeup products I didn't like. I won't ramble much, because today I'm not very talkative, I'm just going to say short why I don't like each product.

Mascaras
I wrote about mascaras recently, you can go and check that post hereEssence Lash Curler, Max Factor Excess Volume and Yves Rocher Sexy Plum mascaras promise volume to the lashes, but unfortunately none of these works great. Essence and Yves Rocher give pretty natural look to the lashes, while Max Factor gives more volume than other two, but it leaves a horrible sticky feeling when I close my eyes. Makeup Revolution Amazing Curlmascara promises amazing curl to lashes, but it actually looks like I'm not wearing anything when I have it on. Definitely check my post Searching for a Perfect Mascara to find out more about each mascara.

Catrice eyeshadow Talk Like an Egyptian
Most of metallic eyeshadows I tried from Catrice have good quality, but I'm not the most impressed with this one. It has a strange formula. It's creamy, but bad pigmented. It's very hard to apply on lids and achieve an even look on eyes, if you don't have a golden base underneath. It falls out like crazy. If you're searching for a golden metallic shade, skip this one. Sleek has some great in their palettes, rather give a chance to those (plus you'll get some other amazing shades as well).

Eye Care Golden Brown eyeshadow
This is a creamy eyeshadow that is specially designed for girls that wear contact lenses. The color of the eyeshadow is actually great, but the formula is just strange. You should apply it with applicator, but it's very hard to apply eyeshadow nicely, specially if you have smaller eyes, because the applicator is too big. If I apply it with fingers, it blends so much that it becomes very sheer. The thing that bothers me the most is that this eyeshadow drys quickly, like in a second. If I made a mistake or I want to apply a bit more on a certain place, I smudge everything because eyeshadow already dried on that place and then I just pull everything from the lid. What also bothers me by this product is that eyeshadow looks cracked on the lid once it drys. Too bad, because otherwise this eyeshadow would be great, specially because it doesn't fade away and it stays on the place for a whole day.

First of all, the color of this eyeliner is far from deep black. It's more like a greyish shade. Second of all, I have no idea why I'm still buying Essence eyeliners in a shape of pens, because none of them impressed me till now. It drys out quickly and it's also very hard to do a winged liner with it. It's just impossible to do a wing, because the eyeliner doesn't give any color. This eyeliner stains the skin and it's also hard to remove.

Makeup Revolution has such amazing shades in Salvation Velvet collection, specially great for summer, but these have such a bad formula. They're not the easiest to apply, because they don't apply evenly, and once they dry, they feel heavy on lips. They also crackle and peel off the lips after some time. Definitely not a product you'd want to wear in public and you'd wonder, if the product cracked or peeled off and you're having it on your teeth or clothes.

Maybelline Colorama lipgloss 377 and 577
These are some strange lip glosses. They contain big glitter, which is noticeable on lips, they are sticky, have strange scent and they leave strange taste in the mouth when I'm wearing them. The pigmentation is ok and they don't dry lips, but that doesn't weight out the things I don't like about these glosses.

For me Bliss has bad formula, which I don't like to wear. It emphasizes dry parts and all imperfections on the lips, it looks very strange on me if my lips are not in perfect condition. I also think this shade doesn't look flattering on me, but that's just my personal opinion.

I'm a big fan of Essence lipsticks. It's true, they are not as long lasting as the name says, but they have nice formula, that goes on lips smoothly and they don't dry my lips. Well, the story is different with Oh So Matt shade. The shade doesn't really suit me, if you ask me, but that's not the reason I'm not a fan. This lipstick doesn't have such good pigmentation as other shades, it emphasizes dry parts on the lips, wears off after one hour and it also feels a bit drying. Luckily Essence lipsticks are not expensive.

FOTD: Inspired by Colors of the Fall (Tutorial)

Ladies, today I have another fall inspired makeup look and another tutorial for eye look for you. Here you’re going to actually see, that I can complicate sometimes when doing my eye makeup. The inspiration for this eye look was all those colourful leaves that started falling down from trees. I was never a fan of fall, but this year I'm very enjoying in this season, maybe also because at the moment I'm pretty satisfied with my life (although not everything is perfect). For the lip combo I chose Catrice plum lipliner and lipstick which give matt finish, but I had a feeling glossy lips will better suit to this look, so I applied Essence lipgloss on my lips and felt in love with the combo immediately.

This time I prepared a bit different tutorial for you. I took a photo of each product I used, so you can better imagine what I was doing. Let me tell what you think about this way of a tutorial and if you find it more helpful.

I started with priming my lids, as always. I used Essence I Love Stage eyeshadow base and then I applied Catrice Vanillaty Fair all over my lids. Lately I got use to use this eyeshadow all over the lid with almost every look I do. This way it sets the base so that it doesn't crease and it also creates a nice base for other eyeshadows.

Then I took Essence palette Under a Cherry Tree and used light peachy shade in a crease and on my brow bone as a transition color. I was using UBU Shading brush which helped me to apply eyeshadow very lightly.

Then I took Essence Smoky brush and Flormar Pretty Compact P041 palette. I applied orange eyeshadow in a crease to darken it a bit.

For the inner part of my eye I decided to use a yellow shade. I used the light yellow eyeshadow from Flormar palette which I applied with Ebelin eyeshadow brush.

I took the same brush as before and applied the olive green eyeshadow from Flormar palette all over the lid.

After I applied green shade on my lids I had a feeling that I need to darken my crease a bit more, so I used Inglot Pearl 452, which I applied with Essence Eye Blender brush.

I decided my looks needs a bit more orange on my brow bone, so I used Essence Eye Blender brush and carefully blended orange into the burgundy shade I used before.

On my lower lash line I used Inglot AMC Shine 12, which I applied with Ecotools Smudge brush. I'm completely in love with this brush, because it enables me nice precise and heavy application of an eyeshadow.

As a highlighter under my brow I used Catrice Vanillaty Fair.

And then the final touches followed. I lined my eyes with Essence Liquid Ink High Gloss eyeliner, curled my lashes with lash curler and applied two mascaras, Essence Lash Princess and Miyo Big Fat Smokey Lashes

Products I've Been Loving Lately

I haven't done monthly favourites in a while. Today I want to share with you few beauty products I love a lot lately.

Catrice Iluminating Blush Coral Me Maybe
I received this blush at Cosnova event and I’m using it all the time since then. It’s a nice coral shade with tiny shimmer, that isn’t overwhelming on face and it gives such a natural look to my cheeks. The pigmentation is not the best, but the blush can be build up to the intensity one wants to achieve.

Wow, this is one amazing highlighter. It’s very easy to apply on cheeks, I usually use fingers to do that, because it’s faster, and it gives a beautiful shine to them. It’s much pigmented and it lasts a whole day on my skin.

Essence Lash Princess mascara
This on replaced my beloved I Love Extreme very quickly, because it’s drier and because of that easier to work with. It gives really nice volume to the lashes, which is a most important thing to me, separates them nicely and also makes them longer. It removes easily and it doesn’t give me panda eyes. Did a mention the cutest packaging of mascara ever? I admit I actually bought it because of a packaging. I didn’t believe it’ll really work, but it does.

If I don’t wear a lipstick I often reach for this product. It’s amazingly moisturizing, gives a bit of color to the lips and it isn’t sticky. I also like its sweet scent. Catrice has three lip smoothers in this collection; I also own Sweet Caramel and Apricot Cream, but Cake Pop is my favourite. It’s the prettiest shade of all three and the most pigmented as well.

This is a nude nail polish with an amazing formula. It’s opaque in two coats and it also has a great brush, which enables an even and easy application. I usually don’t wear it alone, but I use it in nail art manicures all the time. It does dry quite fast and I think it would suit to any skin tone.

I already said in my review how amazing this lipstick is. It lasted on my lips for around 6 hours together with a stain, which is unbelievable. It’s such a gorgeous raspberry shade, amazingly pigmented, feels moisturizing on lips, doesn’t smudge and it dries shiny, but not too glossy. I definitely need more Pure Color lipsticks.

Britney Spears Cosmic Radiance
I’m completely in love with this perfume. I’m not really good at describing scents, but it smells very sweet to me. I googled it and it says it begins with citrus and floral scents. Always when I wear it someone asks me, what I’m wearing, because it smells so good to them.

Catrice Nude Illusion Nude Ivory foundation

I wanted to try this foundation since it was launched, but I wanted to read few review before to make sure, if it’s worth buying or not. Then I was invited to the Cosnova event and got a bottle of a foundation there. It was definitely a love at first sight application. It has a medium coverage, it’s easy to blend into the skin and it gives it a matte finish. It doesn’t emphasize dry parts on my skin and the lightest shade is a good match for my skin at the moment. I’m also satisfied with its staying power, even after 8 hours I can still notice it on my skin.

Review and Swatches: Essence Naughty or Nice? Nail Polish Set (Come to Town TE)

At the Essence and Catrice event we had a special chance to peek at new Essence trend edition collection, called Come to Town. The collection itself didn’t really convince me, because I have a feeling it’s very similar to last year’s one, but I really liked nail polish set Naughty or Nice?, so I decided to put it in my Essence bag.

The set Naughty or Nice? contains three nail polishes, two cream polishes and one golden topper. None of them has a special name, which is not really nice and can be confusing, when someone asks you, what nail polish are you wearing and you say, it’s a red from that nail set from that limited edition collection, you know. It’s better to say I’m wearing Little Red Riding Hood or Santa’s Hat or something similar (I’m making this up and it’s not even good, but you get the point). The bottles are small; each contains 6 ml of product. They have small narrow brush, which is easy to work with and enables an easy application of a nail polish. Cream polishes have good formula, not to thick or too runny, and they need to be applied in two coats to cover the nail completely. The topper is also great; it doesn’t have too thick formula and the glitter transfers nicely on nails. On the bottles of creamy shades is says that they should dry fast and I’d say they dry faster than Essence polishes from regular assortment, but a fast drying top coat is a must for me anyway. On me these polishes last the same amount of time as any other nail polish, cheap or expensive, that is two days.

This one is a nice red shade. I’d say it has a slight pink undertone, but that’s maybe just my seeing. It’s opaque in two coats.

A gorgeous plum shade, my favourite from this set and also a reason I got it. This one is definitely a great shade for fall and winter and I love its finish, which makes it a great base for nail art or stamping. It’s opaque in two coats.

The topper contains small round and big hexagonal golden glitter. This is probably the least special nail polish in this set, especially if you buy Essence polishes for longer period, because they launched many similar golden toppers few times before.

If I conclude, I’m very satisfied with this set. Both creamy nail polishes are gorgeous and the topper is also nice, although I have one or two similar ones in my stash already. This collection will be available in Slovenian drugstores in November (which means we can expect it soon). This set will cost around 3,5€. I think this would be a nice Christmas gift for you friend and even if you like only one shade from the set, you can always give away other shades to your friends or readers (if you’re a blogger).

What do you think about these polishes? Thank you for reading!

NOTD: A Yellow Rose

The fall season doesn't mean you have to put away neon shades. I certainly won't stop using them during these colder months. This week the weather wasn't very happy, so I decided to cheer myself up with a bright manicure. As a base I used Catrice On the Top of the Alps. I did a gradient with GT Cosmetics No 5 and on the tips of my nails I applied Yes Love G11-6. On my index finger I created a flower with neon leaf studs

It's no secret that I love studs. It's true my love was born pretty late, but I think they are a great addition to a manicure. I got square and leaf designed studs from Born Pretty Store, and what I especially love about them is that they are small and easy to use. These would actually look good even on smaller nails. Advantage of them being small is also in a fact that they last longer on nails. I just seal them with a top coat and they last on nails until I remove them. By bigger studs I noticed that they can fall off quickly after an application. These studs are available at Born Pretty Store for $3.67. In the set you get 300 pieces of studs. Also check out my Instagram account here and here to see more nail art manicures I created with these studs. If you're going to shop at Born Pretty Store use my discount code "DFL91".

FOTD: Colorful is my Middle Name

In reality I'm not a bold and daring person. I'm pretty shy, actually. But makeup is something where I dare to go bold and be creative. Of course I can't say I'm as creative as some other girls, but I like to play with colors on my eyes and that's enough for me at the moment.

When I started creating this eye look I didn't had any idea what will came out. I just applied colors I liked where I wanted them and in the end this look came out. Don't ask me what I used where, because there is more than one color on a certain place (for example, I used more than just one eyeshadow for the purple on brow bone). Since this is more colorful look, I decided to check my eyelash application skills again and apply false lashes I ordere  at Born Pretty Store few weeks ago and received recently. To go even further I combined very bold lips with this look. I used Rimmel Apocalyptic and Catrice Mission PINKpossible over it.

Products I used:
*Face
- Catrice Nude Illusion Nude Ivory
- Catrice Velvet Finish Velvet Ivory
- Catrice Color Correcting mattifying powder Delicate Blossom
- Sleek Face Form Fair (bronzer)
- Makeup Revolution Goddess of Love highlighter
- Catrice Iluminating blush Coral Me Maybe

*Eyes
- Essence I Love Stage eyeshadow base
- Catrice Vanilatty Fair

- Essence Fairy Dust
Essence Liquid Ink High Gloss eyeliner
- Essence Lash Princess mascara

Comparison: Essence Golden Toppers

$

In my review of Essence set Naughty or Nice I mentioned that the topper isn't really unique, because Essence released many similar toppers during the years. I went to check in my stash all Essence toppers I bought and decided to compare them all together. I also added one Catrice topper, which reminded me on my Essence toppers. First I’m going to present and describe each polish and in the end I’ll pass my conclusions. I swatched all golden toppers over Essence Black is Back.

Catrice Gold Leaf – this one has small round golden glitter and big silver hexagonal glitter.

Essence Make It Golden– this is probably my all time favourite Essence topper, but unfortunately discontinued. It has small round and big hexagonal glitter, but its base contains a lot of shimmer, so it colors the base.

Essence The Huntsman– I’d say this one has more brownish undertone. Otherwise it also contains small round glitter and big golden hexagonal glitter. Beside that it also has golden flakies in it, which makes is unique.

Essence My Sparkling Acrobat– this one has small round and big square glitter.

Essence Steel-ing the Scene– I probably wouldn’t add this one to this comparison, if Petra wouldn’t ask if it’s similar to this new Essence topper. Well, it’s not. Steel-ing the Scene contains golden flakies and it’s definitely the most unique topper Essence ever made.

Essence Joy to the World topper– this is a duo polish from last year’s Christmas collection and one part is a golden glitter, obviously. It has smaller hexagonal and big hexagonal golden glitter.

Essence Naughty or Nice golden topper – this one has small hexagonal and big hexagonal glitter.

From L to R: Catrice Gold Leaf, Essence Make it Golden, Essence The Huntsman, Essence My Sparkling Acrobat, Essence Steel-ing the Scene, Essence Joy to the World topper, Essence Naughty or Nice topper.

My conclusion is that although Essence releases golden toppers all the time, it makes them quite different. But I did find two dupes. Last year’s Christmas topper is a dupe for this year’s one. The only difference that can be noticed is that Joy to the World has more yellow undertone, but that’s really minimal difference. If you wanted to get that polish last year and you missed it, definitely get Naughty or Nice set. My favourite topper Essence every made is Make it Golden and second favourite Steel-ing the Scene

From L to R: Essence Joy to the World topper, Essence Naughty or Nice topper.

Not just the topper, also creamy part of a Joy to the World polish reminded me on this year’s plum shade in the set. I compared them and as you can see, they are a bit different. Joy to the World is a darker and it also has thicker formula than plum shade from Naughty or Nice set. If I’d had to choose my favourite I’d say this year’s plum shade is prettier.

Do you have any of these toppers in your collection? Which one is your favourite? Thank you for reading!

Ocena Eye Care izdelkov

V vsakem pakiranju dobite 5 g.

Kaj pravijo na Lečka.net o eyelinerju?»Eyeliner s priloženim čopičem omogoča zelo enostavno in natančno risanje tanke črte, s katero želimo popraviti očesno linijo.

Kaj menite o teh dveh izdelkih? Hvala za pozornost!

The Makeup Addict Tag

This week I wanted to do one tag and I asked you on Facebook, if you can recommend me any good. Mateja gave me a nice list of tags and for the beginning I decided to do The Makeup Addict Tag. This tag was created by Kat from Tales of a Pale Face, and as much as I can see by the date, this is quite a new tag.

Source.

Which product do you still keep buying more of despite having plenty in your collection?
Everything? :P I’d say blushes or eyeshadows. I have many blushes (I still need to count them, though) and I’m mostly using like 6 of them all the time.  I do have many eyeshadows too, not mentioning the dupes, but they get more chance to be used on my face (meaning eyes) than most of the blushes.

What’s the one product you couldn’t live without?
Lip balm. It doesn’t matter which lip balm it is, just as long it moisturizes my lips for a while. I can walk around without any makeup on my face without a problem, but I can’t stand having dry lips.
Can I cheat a bit here and also mention a nail polish? My nails need to be polished; otherwise they brake and are not pretty at all.

Favourite makeup brand?
I have to go with Catrice here. This brand has its flops and tops, but some of my favourite products are from Catrice. Polishes are not my favourite anymore, because they ruined the formula and the brush, but foundations, blushes, lipsticks, eyeshadows – here they have some amazing products. At the moment on the top of my list are Catrice Nude Illusion foundation, Catrice lip smoothers, blush Mandy-rine and Velvet Finish concealer.

How big is your makeup collection?
Uf, it’s big. My family would definitely say it is way too big. But I can’t help, I’m a beauty blogger. :P But no, really, I have to go through products and give some away. There’s no point of me keeping the products I don’t use anymore.

And how do you like to store it?
I’m having all my makeup on a closet’s shelves where I use to store books. I’m using plastic containers that I buy in different stores (Spar, Chinese store).  In them I store everything except lip products. Those I store in mugs or hand-made stands from cardboard boxes. Nail polishes I store in show boxes.

My collection at the beginning of the year. It grew since then.

How many items of makeup have you got in your handbag at the moment?
Not a lot, really. I’m having some Essence hand wipes, a hand cream and a nail file in my purse right now. I’m actually having a little beauty corner at work, so I don’t need to wear all the beauty stuff with me all the time (a lipgloss, a hand lotion, a cuticle cream and so on). Usually I also wear in my purse a lipgloss and/or a lipstick I’m wearing on my lips that day.

If you could raid another blogger’s stash, who would it be?
Hmmm … I actually think it would be very interesting to peek into each blogger’s stash. ;)

How long does your usual makeup routine take and how many products do you use?
My daily makeup routine takes me 10 min, because I often use only a foundation, a concealer, a blush and mascara. If I do brows, it takes me few minutes more. I guess, that’s around 5 products if I don’t count brushes.

Have you ever bought makeup knowing you wouldn’t use it?
No, I always buy products with a purpose of using them. But if often happens that I used them few times and then put them in my makeup drawers and never use them again.

I won’t tag anyone, but if you’d like to do this challenge let me know, because I’d love to read your answers. Thank you for reading!

Announcing Blogmas and a Christmas Challenge 2014

Today’s post is more of a rambling post than anything else. I have few announcements to make what will be happening on my blog in December. I’m planning few special posts for which I hope you’re going to love, I’m definitely very excited about them. :)

1. Blogmas
First things first, I'm doing Blogmas in December. That means I'll blog every day during next month. I'm so excited about this, because I miss regular blogging and I have so many things to share with you. Of course December will be very festive on my blog, but I'll try to share with you as many interesting posts as I can, including reviews, empty posts, blush collection etc.

2. Christmas challenge 2014
I wanted to join a Christmas challenge this year so badly, but I didn't find any that I'd really like, so I created my own. It has a simple name Christmas Challenge 2014 and anyone can join. :)
I wanted to create a challenge that would allow me to express my creativity not only in nail art, but also in makeup. I think most of the themes of my challenge allow me and you to express ourselves on both areas. By the themes like Under the tree you can also do a wish list. It's up to you. You can do anything you want, a makeup or a nail art. If you're going to do your nails, you can also use stickers, do stamping etc. There are no limits. :)

If you're going to join the challenge or you have any questions about it, tell me in the comment below. I don't have any special rules for the challenge, except that we start on December 1. After that you can post themes when you’ll have time. I think I’ll post them every three days. You're also welcome to share this challenge on your social media. I decided to reward one of the girls who will join and finish the challenge, and send her a little surprise package. Just to say thank you for a support. She will be, of course, chosen randomly.

3. OUAT series part 2
I re-watched first three seasons of Once Upon a Time some time ago and got the idea I could continue OUAT series I was doing last year. Since the season three there were many new characters that could be an inspiration for makeup looks or nail art manicures. The idea was growing in my mind and I wasn't sure about it, until Polona from Uniqua Poly asked me to do a tutorial for Snow Queen. I took this as a sign that I have to continue the OUAT series, so in December I'm starting with it again. I'll probably do only one or two posts from the series in December (because of the challenge and all other ideas) and then continue with it once a week in January. I'll maybe also recreate some of the looks I already did; it depends from the inspiration I'll have. There will probably also be few makeup tutorials included. I'm definitely very excited to continue with this series on my blog.

That's it for today. For tomorrow I have a tutorial prepared for you and then, I hope, I'll post another review. Thank you for reading!

FOTD: Purple Smoky Look (Tutorial)

Last week I shared this simple smoky look with you on Facebook and a lot of you asked me to do a tutorial for it. I wasn't planning to post this look separately, because I was taking photos for a review of P2 highlighter High Beam, but your wish is my command, so here are the look and a tutorial.

I started with a black base. I used Tokoyo longlasting eyeliner 508, which I applied all over the lid and then blended it. This eyeliner dries fast, so you have to blend it immediately after application, because otherwise it doesn't blend that well, and that happen to me, as you can see, because I was taking photos for a tutorial and pencil dried a bit meanwhile. When I blended the pencil I applied purple eyeshadow Turn the TV Off from Makeup Revolution Dia de los Muertos palette all over the lid. The application doesn't need to be perfect, because we're going to blend everything in next step. I used There is Always a Way Back, a mauve matte shade from Dia de los Muertos palette, to blend the purple and to make a transition color for black. In outer V I used black matte eyeshadow from Sleek Acid palette. Black shade in outer corner is always a must for me when doing a smoky look.
I repeated same steps on lower lash line as well. First I applied Tokoyo pencil on lower lash line and on waterline and then blended it. Here I didn't use a purple shade, but the electric blue eyeshadow Or Get Busy Dying from Dia de los Muertos palette. I highlighted my browbone and inner corner of my eye with P2 highlighter High Beam. In the end I applied Essence Lash Princess mascara and the look was done.

Products I used:
*Face

- Catrice Nude Illusion Nude Ivory
- Catrice Velvet Finish Velvet Ivory
- Catrice Color Correcting mattifying powder Delicate Blossom
- Sleek Face Form Fair (bronzer)

- P2 High Beam highlighter
- Catrice Mandy-rine

*Eyes
- Essence I Love Stage eyeshadow base
- Tokoyo longlasting eyeliner 508
- Makeup Revolution Dia de los Muertos
- Sleek Acid
- Essence Lash Princess mascara
- Essence Love Brunettes from How to Make Brows Wow palette

*Lips
- Catrice Let's Mauve On

I hope you like the look and a tutorial for it. Thank you for reading!

P2 Crazy Beauty

I felt in love with P2 nail polish Crazy Beauty immediately. Even when I googled it while deciding which polish should I test, my heart decided for Crazy Beauty, even though my head didn't decide yet. I can't help myself, but blue polishes have a special place in my heart stash. I haven’t checked my stash for any dupes yet, because I wanted to test this polish without any other influences/comparisons. I’ll check it after this review, although I have a feeling that this might be quite unique shade in my stash, but then again I could be wrong.

First let’s talk about the bottle. It’s a square bottle with silver lid. I actually like this packaging quite a lot. These kinds of bottles are very easy to store, especially if you have more than one bottle. It has a wide flat rounded on top brush, which is my favourite. It’s very similar to Essence and Catrice brushes with the difference that bristles are equally cut.

The formulaof this polish is amazing. It’s not completely creamy, it’s like it would be a bit watery (maybe because of the gel look finish), but this polish applies like a blast, evenly and it’s opaque in two coats. Crazy Beauty is a gorgeous bright blue shade. My camera is actually doing it injustice, because in person it’s not so bright. Actually imagine it with a hint of purple in it and then you’ll get the right shade.

Crazy Beauty polish is from Volume Gloss collection and is described as gel look polish. It definitely dries glossy, but I always add a top coat, so I can’t say how long the glossy effect lasts. But the polish itself lasts on my nail the same amount of time as all other polishes, which is around two days.

This cute bottles of Volume Gloss polishes contains 12 ml and they cost 3,49 € at Mojadrogerija. I tried few P2 polishes till now (Color Victim shades, Sand Style polishes) and none disappointed me till now. I’d definitely recommend Crazy Beauty to blue lovers and I’m curious to try some other shades from this collection as well.

12 ml Volume Gloss lakov dobite v Moji drogeriji za 3,49 €. Do sedaj sem preizkusila kar nekaj P2 lakov, in sicer iz Color Victim in Sand Style kolekcij, in do sedaj me še noben ni razočaral.

What is your opinion about P2 polishes? Do you like Crazy Beauty shade? Thank you for reading!
Kako so pa vam všeč P2 laki? Kaj menite o Crazy Beauty odtenku? Hvala za pozornost!
*I received this product for review purposes./Ta izdelek sem prejela v oceno.

Swatches of Catrice Beautfying Lip Smoothers Sweet Caramel and Apricot Cream

As a huge fan of lipsticks I surprised myself when I completely felt in love with Catrice lip smoothers. In past I was a huge fan of lip glosses, but in last year or two I didn't reach for them much, although I was buying them all the time, but that change first with Deborah lip gloss (which will be reviewed in the future) and Catrice lip smoothers. I probably wouldn't buy all three shades myself, but when I got two shades I didn't had on Cosnova event, I decided to keep them. My Cake Pop is almost empty already, that much I love it. J

If you’re interested in a review of the shade Cake Pop, check it here, I already wrote about it. Today I’m actually going to show you swatches of other two shades, Sweet Caramel and Apricot Cream. This post won’t be very detailed review, because they are very similar to Cake Pop when it comes to formula and I think I already mentioned everything important there.

Sweet Caramel is a nude shade with brown undertone and Apricot Cream is a peachy shade. They are both sheer, glossy on lips, creamy, moisturizing and non-sticky.  From all three shades Cake Pop has the best colour payoff and its shade is the most visible on my lips. Sweet Caramel and Apricot Cream look very similar on my lips. Both contain tiny shimmer which luckily isn't noticeable after application. The same as Cake Pop they have a nice scent and a sweet taste. These are not very long lasting products, but I don’t mind reapplying them as often as I need, especially because I don’t need any mirror to do that. What I also love very much about these products is that I can apply them over a matte or semi-matte lipstick and they don’t look too glossy, but rather give it a nice, natural shine.

Although I was convinced that I don’t need all three shades, I love them so much that I wouldn't give away any of them. Even if you’re not a lip gloss lover, you’re going to love these. They cost 3,79 € (9 ml) and are available at Müller.

Did you try Catrice lip smoothers? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!

Random Sunday #48

While browsing through my old posts searching for one particular photo I wanted to post in a beauty tag few days ago I noticed that my last Random Sunday was posted in March. I had in mind to start posting this series again, because I miss it, and when I saw it's been more than a half year since last post I knew I had to do one today. This one will be more beauty orientated and I probably won't post them regular every Sunday from now on, at least not until I finish 365 days photo challenge.

When you try to take a good photo of your makeup and the wind is playing with your hair.

I won Born Pretty Store plate 03 in their giveaway and completely felt in love with it. Here I upgraded P2 Crazy Beauty with gorgeous flower design (I also used Essence Icy Fairy and Black is Back).

I finally got MasterCard and now I can shop online abroad, too. I ordered this two MoYou plates few days ago and I can't wait to get them. I'm specially excited because of a Christmas plate, I just hope I'll get it before Christmas day, because I want to try all designs. :)

I found one Slovenian magazine with this beautiful winter creative look on the cover and bought it immediately, because I want to recreate this look so badly. I hope I'll find some time this week (and that the weather will cooperate too, the fogy weather isn't the best for taking photos).

This is a gradient manicure I did for a review of Born Pretty Store studs, but didn't like it enough, so I'm posting it here. I used Essie Fiji, a plum shade and a golden topper from Essence Naughty or Nice? set.

Another manicure that was never posted anywhere. I did it back in September for 31 day challenge (metallic nails), but didn't like it enough so I did something else.

I can't believe how much darker the lightest shade of Catrice Velvet Finish foundation is from the lightest shade of Nude Ilussion foundation. Is Catrice forgetting that in Europe live a lot of pale girls? I decided to give Velvet Finish foundation away, because there's no point of me keeping it since it's way too dark for me and it acts very similar on my skin as Nude Illusion.

Wearing lipstick Annie 19, which I got in a swap with Natalie. It's an amazing shade.

That's it for today. Maybe next time I'll have for you more Christmasy Random Sunday, we'll see. Thank you for reading!
