Blogmas 2014: Day 5 of Christmas Challenge - Inspired by a Christmas Movie

Fifth theme of Christmas challenge is Inspired by a Christmas movie. I knew I'm going to do only nail art here, and I was deciding between two movies I saw recently, Santa Claus and Arthur Christmas. In the end I decided for the second one, Arthur Christmas. When I started to come up with ideas for each nail and painting them, I realized I haven't done any nail art for a very long time now. Lately I felt in love with stamping so much that I was mostly using stamping plates when doing my nails. In the end the final result wasn't even that bad, although I have to admit this isn't the best nail art I did. The idea beneath each nail? On my thumb I wrote the title of the movie, on index finger (which is my favourite, btw) I draw Santa and sleigh, on middle finger Arthur's jumper, on ring finger I wrote Dear Santa (Arthur was the one who read and answered on all letters) and on pinkie I draw Arthur's slippers.

Polishes I used:
Thumb: Essence Wild White Ways, Essence Juicy Love, Ruby Kisses Tropical Green.
Index finger: Essence I Love My Blue Jeans, P2 Crazy Beauty, Essence Wild White Ways, Essence Black is Back.
Middle finger: Catrice ACid/DC, Essence Juicy Love, Essence I Love My Blue Jeans, P2 Crazy Beauty, Essence Wild White Ways, Essence Inti Inka.
Ring finger: Essence Wild White Ways, Essence Juicy Love, Ruby Kisses Tropical Green.
Pinkie: China Glaze Mahagony Magic, China Glaze Fast Track, Ruby Kisses Tropical Green, Essence Black is Back.

Have you seen Arthur Christmas movie? What do you think of my manicure? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: So This is Christmas

I'm doing Christmas manicures since the beginning of the December already. I feel very excited because of today's post, because I want to show you these cute Christmas water decals from Born Pretty Store. Not so much because of decals themselves as because of my first manicure. Look at this cute penguin with Santa's hat. And a baby reindeer in Santa's bag. I wont write how to apply water decals, because I've mentioned that few times before and I think most of you know how to do it.
As a base for water decals I used Essence Wild White Ways. On other nails I apply P2 Crazy Beauty, over which I stamped snowflakes from MoYou Festive plate 06 with Stargazer 232.

This was my first manicure with these decals, because it was more a manicure for "practicing". The theme of this manicure is a Christmas tree. As a base for water decals I used Catrice On the Top of the Alps. On other nails I applied Maybelline 145, over which I stamped Christmas lights from MoYou Festive plate 06 with white Catrice polish.

I want to use "peace" Santa so badly on my nails, but my nails are unfortunately too short for it at the moment. I have to wait that they grow. You can get these water decals at Born Pretty Store for $2.61. Of course, don't forget to use code "DFL91" to get 10% discount.

What do you think of these water decals? What about my manicures? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: In Love with Zoeva brushes (Review)

Zoeva brushes have a lot of positive reviews in a beauty world and I was thinking to get a set of their brushes for a long time (why to buy a separate brushes, if you can get a set, ha? :P), but I wanted to spoil myself with a whole set and I never found a chance to do that (my birthday is not sooner than in May). Well, when I got the chance to get separate Zoeva brushes with 30% discount, I had to take advantage of it for two brushes that interested me the most – Concealer Buffer and Silk Finish.

I have to say I completely understand why people love their brushes so much. The holder of both brushes I ordered is black, from wood, and it has engraved the name of the brush. Between bristles and holder is a silver metallic part that holds both parts together. The quality of these brushes is really great. They have soft and dense bristles that are synthetic. I washed both brushes few times and none of them lost a single bristles. In usually use a shampoo or a soap for cleaning my brushes, but I discovered that the best for cleaning them is a hard soap (especially for brushes like Silk Finish), because it removes everything from bristles.

142 Concealer Buffer
Concealer Buffer is Zoeva brush I wanted the most. Till now I was using Body&Soul concealer brush, which is flat and it does its job great, but it’s not the best for blending concealer. Let me tell you, Concealer Buffer is a perfect brush to use with concealer. It’s very easy to apply concealer under my eyes and blend it onto the skin, and not just there, it works great everywhere on the skin, also to blend concealer over the blemishes. Many girls also recommended it for applying eyeshadow. I haven’t try it for that purpose yet, because I strictly bought it to use with concealer, but because even Anja from Moja drogerija, who is a makeup artist, use it for applying eyeshadows I believe it’s works great on eyes as well. The price: 11,54 € at Moja drogerija.

201 Silk Finish
Round foundation brushes are my favourite to use, and although I do like RT Expert Face a lot, it isn’t really perfect, so I was curious to see how Silk Finish will work. People, it’s much much better that RT brush. It’s dense, but still soft enough to blend foundation perfectly and evenly onto the skin, and it doesn’t leave any brush strokes, like Expert Face does. Plus, it’s bigger, so the application is faster with it. The price: 16,78 € at Moja drogerija.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with both brushes. Silk Finish completely replaced RT Expert brush in my makeup bag and Concealer Buffer is definitely perfect for blending concealer. Now I’m really anxious to buy a set of Zoeva brushes to try even more of them.  I think these are totally worth the money, after all, brushes will last you very long, if you’re going to take a good care of them. In Slovenia you can get Zoeva brushes at Moja drogerija

Have you tried Zoeva brushes? Which ones would you recommend to me and my readers? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Day 6 of Christmas Challenge - Under the Tree

$

I haven't even realized that the half of the Christmas challenge is already over. The sixth theme is Under the tree. I decided not to complicate much and to do everything green. Green is actually one of my favourite colors and I realized I haven't worn green on nails for a very long time. I mean, I did use some green in different nail art manicures, but I haven't wore dark green shimmery shades that are just perfect for this season.

Makeup

I did very easy green smoky look with a touch of neon in inner corner. This is very wearable look and I had to do something wearable, because I went to work in the evening. For the lips I decided for a very soft pink glossy shade - Revlon LA Exclusive. It actually just came in the mail on the day I was doing this look and I had to try it immediately. :)

Products I used:
*Face
- Catrice Nude Illusion Nude Ivory
- Maybelline Instant Anti-age concealer Fair
- Essence Stay All Day long lasting concealer Natural Beige
- Artistry Exact Fit Bisque powder
- Sleek Face Form bronzer and highlighter
- Catrice Mandy-rine

*Eyes
- Essence I Love Stage eyeshadow base
- Catrice Don't Touch My Mosserati
- Sleek Vintage Romance (Love in London)
- Sleek Acid (neon green)
- Toyoko longlasting eyeliner 508
- Essence Liquid Ink High Shine eyeliner
- Miyo Big Fat Smoky Lashes mascara
- Essence Lash Princess mascara
- Essence How to Make Brows Wow (Love Brunettes)

*Lips
- Revlon LA Exclusive

Nails

It's greeeeen. :) And gold. Gold and green are actually quite gorgeous combination, I don't know why I don't wear it more often. The idea of this nail art was to do a Christmas tree on an accent nail and gifts of others, but Christmas lights seemed like a better idea in the end. I also added a bit of glitter to make manicure look more festive. Polishes I used are Essence All Access, P2 Precious, Essence Wild White Ways, Essence The Huntsman, Manhattan 29Z and to stamp lights I used MoYou  Festive plate 06

What do you think about my makeup and manicure? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas: Models Own Copacabana and Carat Coral

I wrote about Models Own polishes before on my blog. Recently I added two more polishes to my collection and today I wanted to show their swatches to you. They are called Copacabana and Carat Coral and I think they both suit December festive atmosphere very good.

Both shades are right up my alley and both shades were used in Christmas manicures before. Copacabana is from collection Disco Pants and Carat Coral from collection Diamond Luxe. Polishes have different formula and different brush. Copacabana has a round brush, while Carat Coral has a flat brush. I have to say I prefer flat brushes; the application is much easier with them if you ask me.

Copacabanais a pale golden foil shade that actually looks like a silver-gold shade. It’s much pigmented and its application is a bit demanding, because brush strokes are visible. I usually apply very thin first coat (I have to clean the brush from nail polish throat quite good, otherwise the coat is thicker) and then a bit thicker second coat. But this polish would be opaque already after one thicker coat. I chose this shade, because it’s perfect for this festive season and I also used it as a part of one of my favourite manicure I did for Christmas challenge. This one also dries quite quickly, so it’s perfect as a base for creating nail art.

Carat Coral is a coral shade with golden glitter in it. Polishes from Diamond Luxe contain a true diamond dust in them, which makes them quite special. I love this shade so much, but formula is not good at all. It’s too thick and polish is hard to apply. Even though it has an amazing flat brush, which usually enables an easy application it’s very hard to spread evenly on nails. I think I’ll have to use nail polish thinner with this one. There’s also one another thing that doesn’t flatter this polish – it stains nails. A whole surface of my nail was red when I removed it. Okay, I personally don’t see such a huge problem in this, because I always have my nails painted, but I know this could be disturbing for many people. This one doesn’t dry as quick as Copacabana, but it actually looks better with a top coat, because it becomes glossier and that makes it prettier.

Because both polishes have thicker formula I decided to test them as stamping polishes. Both polishes did a pretty good job actually. On first photo I stamped Carat Coral over Copacabana and on second I stamped Copacabana over Carat Coral. Stamping designs are from MoYou Pro palette 04.

Models Own polishes contain 14 ml and you can get them on Click2Chic for 5,95 €. There are three shades available from each collection at online store. I hope they will get more polishes from Diamond Luxe collection, I find Marquise Maroon and Oval Plum gorgeous and I’d love to add them to my collection.

Have you tried Models Own polishes from Diamond Luxe and Disco Pants? What do you think about these two shades? Thank you for reading!
*I got these polishes for review purposes.

Blogmas 2014: The Christmas Red

$

So this is Christmas, I hope you have fun … This song from John Lennon is playing in my head all the time since Monday, when I posted two Christmassy manicures. Well, because Christmas is all about red color (beside golden and green) to me I decided to do a theme post which will be mainly focused on red color. I’m going to show you some of my red choices from my collection for nails, cheeks, lips and random/other and try to decide what I’m going to wear on Christmas day on my nails and face.

Paint those nails red
Although I adore red nail polishes I don’t wear them much, but on Christmas my nails are always painted in red. I went through my collection and chose 16 shades of red that would be a perfect choice for a Christmas day. Some of them are cream, but most of them are shimmery or they even contain glitter. Last year I wore H&M Je T’Aime on my nails and I’m seriously considering wearing it again this year. It’s simply amazing red shade with golden shimmer.

My other choices are:
Creams: Essence Naughty or Nice (bright red with pink undertone), Barry M Blood Orange (dark red), Essence Juicy Red (classic red), Catrice Rockby (berry red).
Shimmers: NYX Girls Fire Amber, S-he 435, Maybelline 145, unnamed Vollare, Alessandro Lucious Brocade, Catrice ARTful Red, H&M Je T’Aime.
Glitters: Catrice Lovely Sinner, Catherine Arley 1100, Models Own Rhubarb and Custard, Essie Toggle to the Top, Essence Never Stop Dreaming

(Non)kissable lips
Red lips are one of my favourite to wear. Yes, they are not very kissable, but they are flattering to my skin tone. From my collection I chose different shades of lip pencils, lipsticks and lip glosses with different finishes. For Christmas day I’ll probably choose a combination of a lip liner and a lipstick, and the finish will be most definitely matt. I seriously love Look by Bipa lip liners and at the moment my favourite shade is Orchid, which is a dark red shade. It’s really gorgeous and its formula is amazing, creamy and long lasting. I’m thinking about applying Bourjois Frambourjoise over it, because Rouge Velvet lipsticks aren’t drying and last long, or even Essence Adorable Matt, which is one of my favourite red lipsticks. I also love Catrice Fatal, but I want matt lips, because I’ll probably wear shimmery eyeshadows on my eyes.

Blushing like a strawberry
I definitely have some gorgeous reddish blushes in my collection. If my lips will be red, why not also cheeks? Okay, I won’t exaggerate with application, I’ll just give my cheeks nice rosy effect. I think I only have two true red blushes in my collection, Essence Renesmee Red and Catrice I’m a Survivor. Others have a bit pink undertone in them, as Catrice Gone with the Wind and Alverde Rose, or are plumy, as Sleek Pomegranate and Maybelline 501. Last two are also on the top of my favourite blushes list, so in the end I’ll probably go with one of them.

And for the end I also chose few of other stuff in red colors. I have only one sweater in red color. Yes, you heard that right. Only one and I can’t believe it, because I adore red clothes. From jewelry I have one necklace and two earrings that I love, but I’ll probably go with necklace. And I added Santa’s lip scrub, because during fall and winter time my lips are drier and it’s important to do peeling on lips before using a matt lipstick, otherwise dry parts can be noticeable and then lips don’t look perfect.

These are few of my red products/stuff from my collection. What about you, are you a fan of red color? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Bomb Cosmetics Santa Baby

Hard soap is a product I use on a daily basis. I never wrote about any before, because usually my mom buys them in a store and I just use them, no matter which brand is. But recently I received Bomb Cosmetics Santa Baby soap from Click2Chic and today I’m going to share my opinion about it with you. Hard soaps are actually quite multifunctional products. I suggest you to go check this Sara’s postwhere she shares with you all opinions how you can use them.

I won’t comment color, because as you know pink isn’t my thing. But the smell is amazing. Santa Baby should smell like orange and cinnamon, but I only smell orange. And you know what the best thing is? That a whole bathroom smells like this soap after usage. My father uses this soap as well and I stepped into bathroom few times when it smelled so nicely and I was wondering what is that smell? First I thought maybe someone is using a new shower gel, but then I discovered that it’s the Santa Baby soap. Bomb Cosmetics soaps are handmade and they contain oil essentials. Santa Baby is creamier than other soaps I tried, but I wouldn’t say that it feels less drying. But it definitely cleans the skin nicely and it leaves the scent on the skin for some time. I mostly use hard soaps for two purposes – for washing my hands and cleaning my brushes. Hard soaps are definitely the best way to clean foundation or concealer brushes, where the product can get between bristles. I also find them the best to clean makeup sponge. No shampoo cleans it as good as a hard soap.

Mila znamke Bomb Cosmetics so narejena ročno in vsebujejo eterična olja.

I think Bomb Cosmetics products would be a nice gift for anyone who loves cosmetics. Check out Click2Chic store for more hard soaps, bath bombs, peelings and a lot more. Santa Baby cost 3,18 €, but at the moment is on sale for 2,39 €. You get 100 g of product.

What about you, do you use hard soaps? Thank you for reading!
Kakšno pa je vaše mnenje o trdih milih? Hvala za pozornost.
*This product was sent to me for review. /Ta izdelek sem prejela v oceno.

Blogmas 2014: Day 7 of Christmas Challenge - Favourite Thing About Christmas

$

0
This post will be a bit different, because I won't just share with you makeup or nail art, inspired by the thing I love the most about Christmas, but I'm going to share with you all the things that make December and Christmas festive and special for me. :)

Christmas trips
These are probably my favourite. I live in a small village, where we do have Christmas lights and few events, but no fairs and everything else, so going to the big city, where they have fairs in the center of the city, they sell mulled wine etc. is a special event for me. Beside that my boy and I go every year to a different city and this also gives us a chance to go somewhere where we haven't been yet. Last year we went to Salzburg, but this year we decided to go closer, to Graz. I also love Christmassy Ljubljana, but unfortunately this year I didn't get a chance to go there.

Graz.
Christmas lights
My mother and I have a tradition that every year we go on a walk around our village to see how people have decorated their houses. I personally love Christmas lights, but again if there isn't to much of everyhing. I'd say, simple is the best. Today we also went to Banovci, where they makea Christmas village every year. A whole village cooperates and they place Christmas cribs on their backyard. You can go around a whole village to see them and also evaluate them.

Christmas tree
Another tradition of mine is putting up a Christmas tree. I usually do it alone and on Christmas eve, but this year I put it sooner (today), because on a day before Christmas I'm working in the morning and then later I have to do some baking for a Christmas day.

Mulled wine
I'm not a big fan of wine in general, but I adore mulled wine. It's definitely one of the best fighters against cold. :)

Spending time with family
On Christmas days a lot of years ago my dad was born. So yeah, on Christmas we don't celebrate just this holiday, we also celebrate his birthday. It's very fun, because all family is gathered, we eat and spend the time together.

Christmas creating - nails
And the last but not least is Christmas nail art. Yay. I usually can't wait for December to start, so I can start wearing and creating Christmas manicures and I usually wear them during whole December. If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw most of manicures I created this year. But specially for this post I created one neutral silver-nude Christmassy manicure that I adore.

What's your favourite thing about Christmas? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Festive Pampering Essentials

Today I want to share with you few of my current favourite products for skin care, showering, lip care etc.  I’m not sure if I’ll do monthly favourites of December, so I decided to do a special post, wrapped into this festive atmosphere as a part of my Blogmas.

Nuxe Bio Beaute Repairing lip balm
This product definitely wasn’t a love at first sight usage and it took me quite some time to start liking it. It smells nicely, as apricot, and it tasted a bit funny. It moisturizes the lips and makes them soft. I’d say it’s a good lip balm, although a bit too pricey for what it offers.

Himalaya Herbals Nourishing lip balm
I have no idea why I haven’t try Himalaya lip balms before, because they are really good. I used the Cocoa Butter scent few times and then lost is, but Nourishing lip balm is the one I have on a night shelf. This one definitely nourishes my lips and when I apply it before bed time I woke up with soft lips. It also helps them moisturizing for longer period as many other lip balms (Maybelline Baby Lips, Labello …).

Yves Rocher Cocoa&Orange shower gel
I love love love this shower gel. Really love. I’m maybe exaggerating, but this shower gel smells literary as a dark chocolate with orange taste. It’s creamy, dense and it foams so nicely. It’s not the most nourishing product, but it also doesn’t dry the skin. The scent that it stays on the skin after the shower isn’t very strong and it smells like chocolate, which I really like.

La Roche Posay Hydreane Legere moisturizing cream for sensitive skin
People love this cream and I can see why. It’s a light cream that sinks into the skin fast and it moisturizes it nicely. After usage my skin doesn’t feel itchy, which is the most important thing to me. I especially love to use it with Balea Aqua serum, for my skin this is a perfect combination. My skin is moisturized through a whole day after I used this combination.

Afrodita Skin Lifting moisturizing mask
This is a very rich face mask that you actually don’t wash from your face, but massage into it after 15 min. I was surprised how good my skin felt after usage. It’s very nourishing, after the usage you don’t need to apply any cream over it. It will make your skin moisturized for hours. I used it before bed time and in the morning my skin was moisturized, silky and soft.

Greenland Fruit Emotions Lime-Vanilla hand cream
I talked about this cream before. For a light cream that sinks into the skin immediately, this is a good moisturizing cream. And after usage my skin feels so soft. I won’t even mention the scent, which is so fresh and good. But vanilla is one of my favourite scents, so it’s not a surprise I love it.

Lush Lemony Flutter
This baby is my companion for two, maybe even three years now. It’s the best product for dry cuticles. Just a tiny bit it enough for one usage on one nail. The butter melts under the fingers when I massage it into the skin. Before going to bed I apply a generous amount of product and then let it sink into the skin for few minutes (okay, few minutes it’s not like 3 to 4 minutes, but like 15 or even more). That helps that in the morning I wake up with nicely nourished cuticles. We all know how dry can cuticles be if we don’t take a proper care for them before bed time.

Lush Santa’s lip scrub
I hate dry lips during winter time. Using only a lip balm isn’t enough, because lip balms can’t remove all that dry parts from the lips. Santa’s scrub smells and tastes like Coca Cola. I personally am a big fan of that scent, but I know some people may not like it. The scrub helps to remove dry bits and making lips smooth. And all lovers of bold matte lipsticks know that this is a necessary step before applying a lipstick. After I remove a lip scrub from lips I always apply a lip balm to moisturize them.

Which are your festive pampering essentials? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Day 8 of Christmas Challenge: Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Hello, my lovely readers! I wasn't really sure what to post today, since I have few more interesting posts prepared for December, but then I remembered I still have one theme for challenge to post before Christmas, because I'm planning to post a Merry Christmas theme on a Christmas day. And then I said to myself, why not to post it today. It's called "Santa Claus is coming to town" and I had in mind to do a nail art. I already did a manicure during the weekend for this theme and I hated it. I had a very lovely design in mind, but I used too dark base and in the end it looked like a total fail. I was already thinking to do something else, but the idea didn't give me a piece, so at 8 p.m. today I went to re-do it for this challenge. This time it definitely looks better and I actually like it a lot. What I did is a Santa who is climbing down the chimney and his reindeers are waiting for him on the roof. Of course it's not perfect, bricks could look better, but in person little mistakes aren't so visible as on photos.

Polishes I used for this manicure: P2 Crazy Beauty, Essence Wild White Ways, Essence Black is Back, Barry M Blood Orange, Essence Naughty or Nice and a stamping plate MoYou Festive 06.

What do you think about this manicure? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Day 9 of Christmas Challenge - Merry Christmas

First of all, Merry Christmas. I hope you spend an amazing day with your loved ones. I won't ramble much today, I just wanted to share with you my manicure and makeup that I wore today and that are also made for Christmas challenge. Telling the truth, I didn't want to complicate, so both are simple and makeup was probably already seen before on my blog, it's a very gentle look.

For manicure I went with something the most simple I could. On ring finger I did dots, which are not very Christmassy, but are in Christmas colors. Polishes I used are H&M Je T'aime, Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low, Essence Steel-ing the Scene and Essence Wild White Ways

Makeup is very simple. Today I wasn't really inspired to do something special, so my eyes are in natural, but shimmery shades. The palette I used for eye look is Sleek's Vintage Romance. Then I had a bad eyeliner day. I wanted to do a nice thin line, which I did on right eye, but then I did it bad on left eye and in the end the thick line came out on both of my eyes. Oh, well ... To make this look a bit more "special" I added a golden eyeliner on the wing.

Products I used:
*Face
- Catrice Nude Illusion Nude Ivory
- Catrice Velvet Light Velvet concealer
- Essence Stay All Day long lasting concealer Natural Beige
- Artistry Exact Fit Bisque powder
- Sleek Face Form bronzer
- Sleek Pomegranate
- Essence Gold Digger

*Eyes
- Essence I Love Stage eyeshadow base
- Sleek Vintage Romance (Pretty in Paris, Meet in Madrid, Court in Cannes, Lust in LA, Propose in Prague, Bliss in Barcelona, Love in London)
- Toyoko longlasting eyeliner 508
- Essence Circus Circus It's Magic eyeliner
- Essence Liquid Ink High Shine eyeliner
- Essence Lash Princess mascara
- Essence How to Make Brows Wow (Love Brunettes, Love Blondes, Lift Me Up)

*Lips
- Look by Bipa Orchid
- Bourjois Frambourjoise

What did you wear on your face and nails on a Christmas day? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Golden Goddess (Review of Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low + Comparison)

$

There is no such thing as too many golden polishes in someone's stash. Lately my stash of golden polishes grew for one more shade - Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low. It's a polish from Essie's 2014 winter collection.

I love this polish because it reminds me on my favourite metallic golden polish S-he 230. It has a metallic finish and an amazing formula that goes on nails smoothly. Of course, Essie polishes have nice wide flat, round on the top brush that enables even easier application. Drying time is quite fast, you could get away with a nice manicure even without a top coat. It needs two coats for an even and opaque look. The shade Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low isn't completely golden shade. It reminds me on Models Own Copacabana a bit, it looks more like silver-golden shade (of course both polishes have completely different finish). The removal is okay. It's not the easiest polish to remove, like cream ones are, but again not very difficult as for example glittery polishes. Once again, I'm not the right person to be asked how long nail polish lasts on my nails, because two days, as most of them lasts, is enough for me. For me this is an amazing shade, that will also be very handy when it comes to my nail art creativity. I bought it on 1+1 sale at DM, but otherwise Essie polishes cost 9,95 €.

I actually planned a separated post showing you all my golden nail polishes, but then I thought why not to include it in this one and make everything more interesting. I didn't include all my golden polishes, only those that can be worn on their own. Which means toppers are excluded, but you can see the ones I have from Essence in this post

This is a foil golden polish, that has very yellow undertone. Its formula is thick and it's opaque already after one coat, but it requires more careful application, because brush strokes are very visible. I'm not a huge fan of this one because it has too strong yellow undertone.

This one has very similar formula to Stargazer. It's a foil silver-golden shade. Its formula is also thicker, but I always wear it applied in two coats. This one also leaves brush strokes.

Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low
photo you can see that is very similar to Copacabana, just that this one has a metallic finish.

A golden glittery shade with sand finish. Definitely the most pretty of them all. It applies like a dream and it's opaque in two coats. If you want to achieve more of a glossy look, just apply a top coat over it, but I prefer its rough look.

Essence Don't Feed the Tiger
This polish was a part of Circus Circus trend edition. It's a metallic golden shade, opaque in two coats and easy to apply.

S-he 230
I mentioned it before. It's the most pretty golden metallic shade I own. Unfortunately it was discontinued when S-he changed the packaging which is a bit sad, because it's really an amazing shade. It's applies like a dream and it's opaque in two coats.

Manhattan Liquid Metals 29Z
Another foil shade that has very similar formula to Models Own and Stargazer.

This is actually more of a brown than golden shade. It's a shimmery polish that also contains bigger golden glitter. It's opaque in two coats. It was a part of trend edition collection.

If you're going to click on the name of each shade you're going to see them swathed on nails. Not all polishes are still available. Both Essence shades, Manhattan and S-he polishes are discontinued, Essie is available at the moment at DM, you get get Stargazer in Tuš drugstore and on Bodizenska.si, while P2 polishes are sold at Moja drogerija and Models Own at Click2Chic. I personally would recommend you P2 Precious and Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Lo, if you're searching for a good golden nail polishes, because I know there's a lot of girl that don't like brush strokes that foil polishes, like Stargazer and Models Own, leave.

What do you think about Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low polish? Did you get anything from Essie's winter collection? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Review of Catrice Illuminating Blush Coral Me Maybe

Catrice Iluminating blushes are new blushes in their assortment, launched in summer/fall assortment change. There are three shades available: I’m Nuts about You, Coral Me Maybe and Kiss Me Ken. On the Cosnova event we received shade Coral Me Maybe and this one soon became one of my favourite blushes. This is actually a blush I’d pick first if I would purchase it myself, because I have a week spot on that kind of shades of blushes.

If we take a look at packaging, we’ll see that it’s nothing special, just a plastic round packaging with a transparent lid (something usual for Catrice), but the design of the blush itself is gorgeous (at least to me). It has a 3D design in rhomb shape and in peachy and coral shade. When they are mixed together they gave such a nice coral shade, for which I think it looks very beautiful on my face. It also contains tiny shimmer that gives such nice shine to the face. Because the shimmer creates a radiant look on cheeks, it can be worn alone, without highlighter.

The pigmentation of this blush is not the strongest, but I guess that’s a good thing for those who don’t like too much blush on the face or are just beginning with makeup, because you can’t achieve a clowny look with it. The blush is very silky and easy to blend on the cheeks. It can be also build up, so you can achieve more intensive look with it, if you prefer it (I know I do). The duration time is quite amazing, it lasted a whole day on my face with minimal fading away. But have in mind that I like to apply the blush a bit stronger, if you’ll apply it very sheer it’ll probably fade away faster.

The price is 4,69€ for 4 g. I do love this blush a lot. Although by my opinion Define blushes are better, Illuminating blushes are good as well, because they are different – they contain shimmer which gives nice glow to your face and Coral Me Maybe looks very natural on cheeks. I haven’t tried other two blushes from this collection, but they are very well reviewed by fellow bloggers, even better than Coral Me Maybe. I thinking Coral Me Maybe is perfect for those who like coral shades that contain shimmer and are beginners in makeup, because this blush is not too pigmented and you’ll be able to achieve a nice look with it.

Have you try Catrice Illuminating blushes? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: Tripple A of Hair Care

Today I'm going to talk about three hair products that I currently love a lot. In the past I was using more hair products on my hair, but for the last month and a half or two I’ve been using only these three products I’m going to talk about today. I won’t say I have the healthiest hair ever, because I often wash them after 10 p.m. when I come from work and then I go to bed with wet hair, which probably isn’t the smartest idea, but I really love the feeling that a combination of these three products leaves on my hair.

Aussie Miracle Moist shampoo
This shampoo is designed for dry hair and it should give them moisture. It’s a lovely scented shampoo, it smells like a bubblegum. It has thicker formula and it foams very well. I’d say it cleans the hair nicely, but it’s not the most moisturizing shampoo out there. I love it in combination with Aussie conditioner, they both together make my hair soft, shiny and amazingly scented. Shampoo contains 300 ml and it costs around 7 € (Müller). It’s quite pricey shampoo, so I think I’ll buy it more to spoil myselfmy hair rather than to use it as my regular shampoo.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor
This conditioner is designed for same hair type as Moist shampoo, just that it works much much better. It has the same bubblegum scent as shampoo. I’m usually not a huge fan of strong sweet scents, but here I actually adore it, especially because I can still smell it when my hair gets dry. I use conditioner only on my ends, which are dry, because my scalp tends to get greasy fast (which is nothing surprisingly, because it’s winter and I wear cap on a daily basis). Although they recommend that you leave it in your hair for 3 minutes, I usually leave it longer, around 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile I remove my makeup and wash my face. This conditioner is very good, it moisturizes and nourishes my ends, makes them soft and shiny and my hair definitely looks healthier since I started to use it. It contains 250 ml and it costs around 7 € (Müller). Again, it’s not the cheapest product, but I think it’s totally worth the money, because it really works great.

Avon Advance Technique Moroccan Argain Oil
As you can see I almost finished the bottle of this product. I think it’s my third or even fourth already. I use it as treatment on wet hair, two pumps are enough for my ends. It’s thicker oil, but it doesn’t feel heavy on my hair, it gives them shine and it makes them soft. The smell is also very pleasant, not too strong, and it stays on hair after they dry. It also can be used on dry hair, but you have to be careful with amount, because too much product can make your hair look greasy. Avon treatment contains 30 ml and it costs around 6 €. It’s often on sale in Avon’s catalogue for 4 €. This product is definitely worth the money, because the amount will last you for a very long time, since you use very small amount for one usage.

Have you try any of these products? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!

Blogmas 2014: NOTD: Winter is Here

I wanted to write the famous quote from GOT "The winter is coming", but it wouldn't be really appropriate, because winter is already here. The nature outside is completely covered with snow, which doesn't please me at all, but guess what? It at least inspires me to do my nails. So today I prepared a winter inspired nail art for you. I went through my blog, because I'm preparing an overview of year 2014 on my blog and I noticed I haven't post much nail art manicures this year. I was creative, a lot actually, but I guess I moved to Instagram, where I post almost every manicure I do. Well, my resolution for year 2015 is to post more nail art manicures (and also tutorials) on my blog.

For today's manicure I used one of my favourite blue polishes Misslyn Royal Blue, which I applied on pinkie, ring finger and thumb and also used as a stamping polish. White polish is Essence Wild White Ways and for stamping I used design from Born Pretty Store Christmas stamping plate, which I ordered in the middle of November and received one day before Christmas, so I couldn't do much Christmas manicures with it. But it has a lovely snowflake design, so it can be used for winter inspired manicures, too.

What do you think about this manicure? Thank you for reading!

It's time for last empties post of 2014. I finished so many products and at first I wanted to post them all together, but this post was already getting long and it took me quite some time to write it, so I decided to divide it into two parts. First will be up today and second next week.

Afrodita Clean Phase Micellar Solution
Telling the truth, there's no big difference between micellar waters from different brands. Maybe I'll write few words about micellar waters next month. I like this one from Afrodita. Luckily it doesn't have too strong and unpleasant scent, it's gentle and it removes face makeup very well. It also works well for removing eye makeup, although waterproof makeup can be a bit tricky (my Toyoko pencil can be removed only with two-phased removers). It contains 200 ml and the price is around 5 €.
Repurchase: Already did.

Mixa 24h Light Moisturizing Balancing Cream with 6% Glycerine
I bought this one in summer, because I thought it'll  be enough for my skin, since in the summer my skin doesn't needs so much moisture as in winter. O boy, I was wrong. I have no idea, why two creams from the same brand can be so different, but they are. Except if I got a bad product. This one had a funny scent, while the one with 10 glycerine doesn't have a scent. Also, I had a feeling that this one didn't really work for me.
Repurchase: Not this one, but I will repurchase the one with 10 % glycerine.

Balea Mildes Waschgel
This is my go to cleanser for few years now. I have a normal skin type and it works very well for it. It foams nicely, it has a pleasant scent and what's the most important, it cleans my skin very good. Some people said to me that this cleanser dried their skin. I didn't notice the same problem, but I also can't say that it's moisturizing.
Repurchase: Yes.

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal gel cleanser
While I was at Yves Rocher store I decided to give a try to their Hydra Vegetal gel cleanser. It's designed for the same skin type as Balea one - for people with normal and mixed skin type. At the beginning I really loved this cleanser, it felt very fresh and nourishing, but longer I used it more I got the feeling that it started to dry my skin. The texture is very gelish and it cleans the skin very good, it also leaves it soft, but I didn't like the feeling that it started to leave on my skin by the end. Maybe my skin got too use to it or I was doing something else wrong, because at the beginning I really liked it a lot. It contains 200 ml and it costs around 6 €.
Repurchase: Maybe.

Yves Rocher Exfoliating shower gel Yellow Peach
This is probably the creamiest body peeling I tried. The particles it contained weren't too rough and it left nice feeling on the skin, but I didn't like it much, mainly because of the scent. It smelled like peach, but the scent was too artificial and strong. Otherwise it contains 200 ml and the price is around 4 €.
Repurchase: No.

Balea Mango Mambo shower gel
My love for Balea shower gels is well known by now. Their summer limited edition shower gels have the best scents and this one is not an exception. I love mango scented shower gels.
Repurchase: Yes, if it would be still available.

Afrodita Jojoba Oil with Shea Butter shower gel
Afrodita is really doing a great job lately; most of their products I tried made a good impression on me. The same is with this shower gel. Beside the amazing scent it also works great, my skin is very soft and nuorished after usage. I think the price is around 2 or 3 € for 250 ml.
Repurchase: Already did.

Afrodita 100% SPA Sugar Scrub
This product has been praised before on my blog. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I love it. It's very rough peeling, but that also means that it removes dead skin perfectly. After showering it leaves a film on the skin that most people hate, but I don't mind it. I just wipe my body with a towel after showering and my skin is soft, moisturized and nourished. Beside that it also smells very nice. Maybe the only downside is the price, because 200 ml costs around 5 € and you finish it after four or five usages (depends on how much product you use at once). So for me this is more a product that I use when I want to spoil my skin rather than on regular basis.
Repurchase: Of course.

Essence Studio Nails Ultra Strong nail hardener
Another discovery of the year. I started using it when Essie discontinued Nourish Me and for the price of 2 € and few cents this is a miracle in a bottle (for me). I use it as a base coat, which probably isn't the smartest idea since it contains formaldehyde, but if I use these nail hardeners as producers recommend them they don't work for me. I have very soft and weak nails that break a lot and this hardener helps them to become stronger. I definitely recommend it.
Repurchase: Yes.

Essie Blanc
Amazing white polish with great formula that goes on nails smootlhy and evenly. It's really a nice polish, but I use white polish a lot in nail art, which means that I finish two or three bottles of it in a year and Essie is just too expensive to purchase it regular. I would recommend it to those who wear white polish occasionally, but if you're like me then 10 € will be too much to spend on a bottle of white polish. But I purchased it on a sale (got it for a half of price).
Repurchase: Probably not.

Essence Nail Cuticle softener pencil
This is an oily pencil for cuticle, which I mostly use when swatching nail polishes or taking photos of my manicures for blog. It softens and moisturizes the cuticle and it also leaves it moisturized for quite some time.
Repurchase: Yes.

Catrice Go Flamingo Go
I have no idea why Catrice is discontinuing these lip balms, because they are really great. Go Flamingo Go is definitely the winning shade, it's a peachy shade that would suit anyone, it's moisturizing and it gives a nice shine to the lips. I'm definitely buying few more backups before it'll be gone.
Repurchase: Yes.

Maybelline Baby Lips lip balms
Three Maybelline lip balms I finished recently are Hydrate, Peach Kiss and Intense Care. These are so hyped, maybe a bit overhyped, because they are good, but nothing extra amazing. They are moisturizing and that is what I expect from any lip balm. They also have cute packaging. Peach Kiss is the only one that gave a bit of color to the lips, other two were colorless.
Repurchase: Yes, Hydrate and Peach Kiss.

Labello Fruit Shine Cherry lip balm
This is a lip balm I'm not really a fan of. Although it gives a bit of color to the lips, I don't find it enough moisturizing, it's actually more drying on the lips than anything else, but I was using it when I had it near me and I finished it.
Repurchase: Definitely no.

Blogmas 2014: Day 10 of Christmas Challenge - New Year's Eve

Hello, my darling readers! Wow, it's New Year's Eve. I know you probably heard it thousand times, but gosh, this year passed by so fast. I hope you're going to spend a nice evening. I personally am going to spend it at home, probably do some blogging and cuddling with my boy, and that's it. It's so cold that I'm really not in a mood to go anywhere, not to mention I'm not having the best day. But I won't bore you with my problems, I wanted to share my last post of Blogmas and also this year with you and to wish you all the best in next year. Hopefully tomorrow will be upon my blog my annual preview of a current year, but today I want to share with you makeup and manicure I created for Christmas challenge 2014.

Makeup

I don't know why, but I had a strong desire to create a silver and purple look for New Year's Eve. Purple is definitely not a traditional color for this day, but I personally am a huge fan of purple looks. A bit of purple in inner corner, crease and outer V and silver in the middle of the lid and combination of both on lower lash line and the look was done. Because New Year's Eve's look is special, I added false lashes.

Products I used:
*Face
- Catrice Nude Illusion Nude Ivory
- Catrice Velvet Light Velvet concealer
- Maybelline Instant Anti-Age concealer Fair
- Artistry Exact Fit Bisque powder
- Sleek Face Form bronzer
- Catrice Mandy-rine
- Essence Gold Digger

*Eyes
- Essence I Love Stage eyeshadow base
- Sleek Vintage Romance (Pretty in Paris)
- Sleek Ultra Matts V2
- Miyo 07 eyeshadow
- Toyoko longlasting eyeliner 508
- Essence Liquid Ink High Shine eyeliner
- Essence Lash Princess mascara
- Born Pretty Store fake lashes
- Essence How to Make Brows Wow palette

*Lips
- Aura 36 lip liner
- NYX butter gloss Vanilla Cream Pie

Nails

These are my currently nails. I didn't had much inspiration today, so I searched for some manicures on Instagram and found one amazing one by Nails Anna Gorelova, that was my inspiration for this manicure. I used Catrice Plum Play with Me, H&M Plum, Essence Wild White Ways, Stargazer 232, Models Own Copacabana, Catrice I'ts Showtime, H&M Purple Glitter and Born Pretty Store Christmas stamping plate.

I hope you're having an amazing evening. Happy New Year! Thank you for reading!
